Freaky Friday

TGIF readers! This was a fast work week. Here's a recap of all the crazy things I've encountered this week:

You Have How Many Kids?!

Meet ultimate "Baby-Daddy" Desmond Hatchett of Knoxville, Tenn. He's the proud papa of 21 kids...AND he's 29 years old. He's a busy guy. There are 11 different mothers. Like...whoa... According to the Huffington Post, "The mothers of Hatchett's children are supposed to get anywhere from $25 to $309 a month, but the government is only allowed to take up to 50% of his pay check, and when that's split so many times some women only get a $1.98 a month."
Father's Day must be a mess for this man...

Bubbles, Bubbles & More Bubbles!

My what lovely Bubbles you have...WTF Lady GaGa? I know that you are a little edgy but WOW!! This leaves nothing to the imagination. I am lost for words....

Hellllooooo Luvah!
Apparently, this shirt is selling like hotcakes on Amazon.com. Why you ask? It's just a stupid, corny wolf shirt...WRONG! According to owners, you will become a lady magnet if you put this t-shirt on. Here's one review:

This item has wolves on it which makes it intrinsically sweet and worth 5 stars by itself, but once I tried it on, that's when the magic happened. After checking to ensure that the shirt would properly cover my girth, I walked from my trailer to Wal-mart with the shirt on and was immediately approached by women. The women knew from the wolves on my shirt that I, like a wolf, am a mysterious loner who knows how to 'howl at the moon' from time to time (if you catch my drift!). The women that approached me wanted to know if I would be their boyfriend and/or give them money for something they called mehth. I told them no, because they didn't have enough teeth, and frankly a man with a wolf-shirt shouldn't settle for the first thing that comes to him.

I arrived at Wal-mart, mounted my courtesy-scooter (walking is such a drag!) sitting side saddle so that my wolves would show. While I was browsing tube socks, I could hear aroused asthmatic breathing behind me. I turned around to see a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops standing there. She told me she liked the wolves on my shirt, I told her I wanted to howl at her moon. She offered me a swig from her mountain dew, and I drove my scooter, with her shuffling along side out the door and into the rest of our lives. Thank you wolf shirt.

Pros: Fits my girthy frame, has wolves on it, attracts women
Cons: Only 3 wolves (could probably use a few more on the 'guns'), cannot see wolves when sitting with arms crossed, wolves would have been better if they glowed in the dark.

[FYI - The reviewer gave it 5 STARS] I need to get my man one!

Hey Look! It's My Boyfriend...and Bella...and Jacob

Look at what I found!!  I think it may be one of the official movie posters for New Moon. Too bad that we have to wait until NOVEMBER!!! But word on the street says that they will start filming Eclipse in August?!? Atleast the filming production is moving along swiftly. Ohhhhh Edward [sigh...]

Well that's all for this week. I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend and that the sun will  make an appearance.

PS - Harry Potter and the Half Blooded Prince comes out in 47 Days! SWEET!

You know that the bride is out to get you when...

I received an email from my bride-to-be friend Heather. The email was entitled "Dresses."

I immediately opened up the email with glee. "Ooooohhhh...I wonder what she has in mind," I thought.

I scroll down to look at the pictures...

OH NO!!!

There were big black & white layered poofy messes, hot pink bedazzled ones with slits running across the stomach. There was also a lime green one that caught my eye. It had slits going up to the waist and exposed many parts of the body, something that would either make my grandma proud, or give her a heart attack.

Of course my friend wrote, "Just Kidding!" at the end of the email. She then proceeded to send us girls more girly, trendy dresses.

But her email gave me inspiration for today's blog. Let's create a mass search on the internet and find the UGLIEST bridesmaids dresses ever!

Let's Begin!

MY EYES! THEY BURN!
It's like Gone With the Wind, but way bluer and shiner.
Wow....umbrella's ladies?
Do you really think that those are going to protect you from the rain or the sun?
I hope you used those umbrella's to "take out" the bride at the end of the wedding...

Look at me! My dress has a tail fin and yours doesn't!
Did the bride have a Little Mermaid themed wedding?
If so, where's Flounder?

Hellllooooo '80s!
Sequin's? Check.
Taffeta sleevy-collar thingies? Check.
Big fun poofy skirt? Check.
Yup it is from the '80s.
P.S. - Nice sandals.

Wow. Have a sleeve of ruffles.
I think that I see an arm in there somewhere....
I have to admit, I am kinda digging the hat....

Now Molly Ringwald...
You know how much I love you.
But I was not liking the dress you created for your prom in
"Pretty in Pink." It is like a Moo-Moo that got in a fight with scissors and lost.
I always wished that you kept the original dress "as is."
Where this is technically a "Prom" dress, it really doesn't count.
So you are off the hook Molly.

Ohhh...Becky Bloomwood!!
Suzie was NOT a nice friend when she picked out this
Barbie meets Rainbow Brite bridesmaid dress. I would have sold it too.

There are TONS more out there. Maybe I will post more up in the future. Heather, if you are reading this...please pick the tail fin, only make mine orange with a pink tail fin. Thanks XOXO!

Start the CAAAARRRRR!!!!!

Rumor has it that IKEA is having a sale....Soon...I have no clue on the details, but my friend Heather saw the following commercial on tv, SO IT HAS TO BE TRUE!

START THE CAR!!!!!

I love this commercial!!

It obviously is NOT the winter sale, but I know that they have sales twice a year.

I hope it is soon [crossing fingers.]

This is still on?!?!?

So yeah. I decided last night (like everyone else) to watch the season premier of "Jon & Kate Plus 8." I was a fan of the show several years ago when it first came out and then over it time, it lost its appeal to me.

So I when I heard Jon & Kate were having marriage problems, I will admit, my first thought was: "That show is still on? Huh?" According to my local radio station, they thought the show would be renamed "Kate Plus 8."

Honestly, I am not surprised that they are having problems. It seemed that Kate was always yelling at poor Jon. It was really over tiny issues. I do not know for sure that he cheated on her or vice versa but there are so many crazy rumors out there.

I think I am going against the majority. I am on "Team Kate."

I know....People think that she's a control freak and a flat out b!tch. But she does a lot for those children, no matter what the media says. I know that taking care of just one kid is hard but 8!? Kate, you deserve a place in heaven. I hope that people lay off you and your family so you can work things out with Jon.

It seemed on the show that Kate wanted to fix things, but Jon didn't. Atleast Kate admitted that she wasn't perfect and has had made mistakes in the past. Men...

I may have start watching this show again.

It's Friday!

Here are some things that have caught my interest and/or downright freaked me out this week. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did:

Holy Freakin' Cheeto!

A Texas couple recently found Jesus hiding in their bag of Cheetos. They have nicknamed him "Cheesus!!" From what I heard, they were planning to auction it off on Ebay or show it off on the Ellen Show. They said that if neither happened, they would just eat it. Would that give a new meaning of letting Jesus into your soul??

24 Season Finale

Oh 24!! You have left me with so many unanswered questions!! Will Jack die? I doubt it, but I think that with Kim participating in this genetic treatment thing, it's going to end BADLY. I think that she's either:
A.) Going to die.
B.) Is going to be deformed or in a coma.
Either way, Jack Bauer will survive (as he always) does and will save the U.S. from terrorists (again.) He's my hero.
But what about Tony? He ended up being semi-good in the end. It was all revenge for his late wife Michelle who was carrying his unborn baby. That came out of left field. I hope we will see him next feeling, although I feel it is going to be from behind bars.
And Olivia?!?! She's going to jail too. Maybe her and Tony will become friends.
Well....my questions will not be answered until January 2010. Boooooo........

Pink and Yellow and Green Flip Flops...Oh My!!

March 23rd is the day!! I will be one of many to get my $1 flip flops at Old Navy. I am not too crazy about the texture of the flip flop itself, but what the heck? $1? I am there. I plan to get white, black, pink and green. AND a pair for little Billy. <3

Mmmmkay. I am done. I will have more for you next week.

Confessions of a Workaholic

My name is Kristin...I am a workaholic.

Like many of you fellow workaholics out there, you MUST be tired like me.

I feel like there are not enough hours in the day to do EVERYTHING.

I thank god that I am employed (with this lovely economy) and that I am holding on, but how I wish I could be lazy, maybe for several weeks? :)

I need another vacation, I have decided. I can't go to Aruba again until next year, sooooo...I am thinking Maine? Or maybe somewhere warmish instead? (Like Florida for a few days?)

I will have free time this summer as my current full-time job is thinking about cutting our hours for a few weeks. I am looking at this positively as my first thought was "HELLO LONG WEEKENDS!" Woo-hoo. But my luck, I will be the one that has to take a Tuesday off...booooo...

I need to have some freedom from work. Or to work on my summer to-do list. :P

Crazy Crazy

So lots of stuff happening to me today...

I woke up pretty dang grumpy. I got 3 and a half hours of sleep last night because I needed to finish work for my 2nd job. It didn't hurt that I was getting paid to do so. Don't feel bad for me, I survived.

So after several cups of COFFEE, I was bright eyed and ready to go.

Today, I found out my good friend Heather (we met in college) is engaged! Yipee. I am so happy for her and she found a nice guy too. They will be happy. As a plus, I get to be in the wedding. Woo-hoo. I LIVE for this stuff. I love weddings, dresses, blah, blah, blah. This should be fun. :)

The downside of today was that I found that one of my other good friends in the hospital. They are not too sure what's wrong with her and I hope that she gets better soon!!! Keep her in your thoughts.

Goals for the Summer of 2009

Since I NEVER have time to relax or get things done (I got two jobs, a five-year-old, etc…), I have decided to create a set of goals for me accomplish by the end of this summer.

My goals include the following (in no particular order):

  1. Finish peeling down the ugly wallpaper in my living room/stairway. Afterwards, it will be painted a nice beige / sand color.
  2. Pay my credit cards down!! I mean it this time. This is essential because I will not buy my beloved Coach purse until they are all at least 50% paid off. (Sigh) Also, I would like to purchase a new car too (an SUV that’s good in the snow).
  3. Watch Bill build our deck in the back yard as I enjoy a nice, cool drink.
  4. Redo little Billy’s bedroom. It is just kind of blah…It needs color! (And a new bed.)
  5. Go to the Children’s/Science Museum with little Billy and others.
  6. Clean out all my clothes that I do not wear anymore (not making excuses that I REALLY will wear it again, because I know won’t.) Then I will distribute amongst my friends and whatever they don’t want goes to charity.
  7. Try to have more of a social life!! This is my LAST summer in my 20’s!!!

So there’s my agenda. Keep you posted on whether or not I accomplish my tasks!!

Freak Friday is here!

So I decided to create a new tradition on my lovely blog, it’s called Freaky Friday.

Every Friday I will discuss something that has caught my interest over the past week. Usually it will be very odd or Freaky thing…or something that I think is pretty freakin’ cool.

Soooo let’s begin!

“America’s First Facial Transplant a Success!” I heard those words on one of my local TV news stations and my interest was immediately transfixed. The poor woman apparently took a gun shot to the face by her husband. Fortunately, she survived but her face was severely deformed. I felt so horrible for what that woman had to go through. I couldn’t imagine going through that. So I am happy that the woman got her life back and can move on.

World’s Oldest Dog turns 21! Huh? The doggie’s name is Chanel and apparently she’s 147 in canine years.) The now-white Daschund lives in Long Island and wears special “Doggles,” because her eyes are so sensitive to light. All I can say is wow….I had a cat named Mimi who lived for 16 years, does that count?

This photo was in an email I received this week from a co-worker:

GIRL  TALK......

"Bill  thought he was the President, too.”

(Well…it made me giggle…)

Free ice cream at ColdStone? For Mom? I am so in. Mother’s Day is one of my favorite days of the year. It definitely competes with my birthday and Christmas. I wonder what the Bills will get me? Hmmmm…Atleast I will get FREE ice cream at ColdStone.

Giant Spiders invade Australia’s Outback. THANK GOD I DO NOT LIVE THERE! Apparently, there has been in an influx of large spiders in the Outback. Yuck. Here’s a picture. I think that I just threw up in my mouth a little…

P.S. - This is my ideal Mother's Day Present:

But I will settle for sleeping in late and having a nice breakfast....

Worst. Pain. EVER

Yes. I am in PAIN. I am pretty sure that I have a massive ear infection. The pain is awful. I can compare it to child birth. Having a child hurts slightly more. But just by an small margin. So I am off the the doctors at 3:30 p.m. I hope that she will make the pain go away, as I am MISERABLE!
I will keep you updated...

Me? A Farmer?!?

Hello....

My name is Kristin...and I am a Farm Townaholic....

I am sooooooooo addicted this SIMS-style game I came across on FaceBook.

Every 10 mins., I NEED to check my crops. Then 10 more mins. later I NEED plant more crops and check on my friend's crops.

I go to the marketplace all the time to get hired, not that I need the money (I have over $45,000 - I wish it was real). I do this so I can buy my "farm house."

My boyfriend just shakes his head at my new discovery. I don't expect him to understand as he is totally not into FaceBook, Twitter, etc.

Now, should I apply this new found fun of harvesting virtual crops into my real life? I have a rather large yard with flower beds overflowing with weeds. Hmmmmm.....

I shall think about it... :)
