Aidez Knitting Project

On Saturday evening I started a new knitting project - yup I am SUCH a party animal. But in my defense, my other half had to work the night shift at his job and my son was in bed.

The project is called Aidez - which I got free here via Ravelry.com

Here is my progress as of Monday night:

I am LOVING the twists and turns of this pattern!! It is so fun to knit.

I got the yarn at a local craft store which is going out of business. I used to go to this place as a child with my aunt and/or grandmother. We would spend hours there browsing. This place will surely be missed! :-(

On a side note - I got A TON of yarn for 35% off! I may go back for some more before they close! ;)

Yummy Mummy Wristwarmers

I finished this project several weeks ago, but I have been busy making Patrick costumes and being Super Mom.

I am love with these wrist warmers! They are perfect for those spring nights, when it is quite not warm enough to wear a lighter jacket. I will wear these under my sweatshirts. They are sooooo warm! Since they are fingerless, I can still take pictures at my son's Little League games!

Pattern info:
Linda K's Yummy Mummy wristwarmers

Yarn:
Loops & Threads Sophie in Cream. (I bought this yarn SUPER cheap at Michael's - it was on the clearance rack!)

Difficulty:
Medium - You should know how to Cable to do this pattern.

Here is a sneak peek at my next project:

Anyone else have any fun projects going on?

My Weekend

I had a very busy weekend! Between watching my son pedal his way around on his Big-Boy bike (he just learned to do it by himself last week) and fitting in a yoga workout, I am bushed!

It was a beautiful weekend! For the most part, the temperature was mild and partly sunny. My BF got a lot of yard work done and he finally cut down the ugly Spider-looking cherry tree in my front yard! (I helped a bit too.)

Also, on Friday I got my latest yarn fix from Knit Picks. Yeah...I am addicted to yarn. But I couldn't resist. I needed more happy colors in my life!

These colors remind me of Springtime!

I have some projects lined up for these colorful goodies! Can't wait! But first, I must finish my Riff Socks! (I am so close...)

Also, this came in the mail for me:

I recently discovered Debbie Stoller from an online book club that I order books from. This is the 2nd book of hers that I own. Her books (Stitch 'n Bitch) are entertaining and very informative! Plus, the patterns in her books are so creative - I can't wait to try them out. Definitely money well spent. Visit her website: http://stitchnbitch.org.

You can actually find local SnB groups on her website where you can meet other knitters in a group setting and well...bitch. I would love to look into this and start my own group (or join one)...hmmmm...

So here we are at Monday. Back at work for me. Happy Monday!
