Today, Me and The Queen tried Hot Yoga for the first time thanks to a Groupon purchased in November.
I have been practicing Yoga for about 2 years now and I enjoy its physical and mental results. Usually, I take Power Yoga classes at my gym with an amazing and encouraging instructor. She pushes me and I sweat - a lot.
But that does not even compare with today. Oh boy....
The room was packed and toasty (90 degrees according to the studio's website). Me and the Queen were instructed to lay our mats in the corner of the room - which was apparently the coldest part - because it was our first time. Yep. It was still toasty. Not that I cared because I love being warm.
As class proceeded, I got warmer and warmer. In the midst of the heat, I was more focused and a lot more flexible. I had a rather stressful and sad day today (another story for another day), but Yoga washed all the bad feelings out of me.
I left class feeling happy, relaxed and energetic. - Aside from the fact that I looked like I stepped out of a swimming pool! Ick! ;-) I was able to come home and cook a nice dinner for the family with a big smile on my face.
I even tried a new pose tonight that I was able to hold for a few seconds (with the help of blocks)
I encourage everyone to try Hot Yoga at some point of their life. I can't wait to go back!

I love new yarn!!
Look at what arrived on my doorstep recently!
A woman from my work gave me a Knit Picks catalog and they had some pretty (and cheapish) yarn that I could not resist. This time around, I bought 100 grams of "Juice Box" and 2 50 gram bundles of "Green Veggies."
I have been on a sock-knitting kick lately. Maybe it is the cold and crazy New England weather, but I am going with it.
Recently, I finished the Jaywalker pattern that I found on Ravelry.com. I figured, with Christmas being over, it was time to knit myself something. So I came up with this:
This was done in Red Heart & Sole - Berry Bliss

They are so warn and comfy - perfect to wear around the house or in my boots.
Currently, I am working on two projects. Another pair of Jaywalker socks in Red Heart & Sole's Razzle Dazzle. And another pair of socks named "Riff Socks" in the "Juice Box" yarn. I will have photo updates soon. :)
