Yesterday, my son and I went to a local dairy farm/ice cream stand. I decided to bring my camera along to see if I could snap some pics of the cows. Here are some of the results:

Foto Friday - A bit delayed!
I am a bit delayed with this week's Foto Friday, as it's Saturday! I was enjoying the sunshine too much and took advantage of my Friday off!
Yesterday, my son and I went to a local dairy farm/ice cream stand. I decided to bring my camera along to see if I could snap some pics of the cows. Here are some of the results:

Foto Friday - Baby Foxes
I have been playing around with the idea of doing a new Friday feature.
I am a big fan of photography. I love to take photos and I carry my camera around with me 95% of the time. I love to see people's reactions when they find a photo that moves them. I love how a photo can stir up memories that have long since been forgotten.
So on that note, may I introduce Foto Friday.
Every Friday I will feature my favorite photo(s) (taken by me - or by a guest) for the week.
I think that this is going to be a great challenge for me (and perhaps get my creative juices flowing!)
Today, I had the opportunity to get up close and personal to four baby foxes. They live under a porch at my work and they are the cutest things EVER! It seems that the mama fox comes back every year to have her babies. Everyone at work goes crazy for them! Today, I was finally able to snap some pictures of the little darlings!

And then there were four...

So now there are four eggs. I am still not too sure what type of bird the mom is, but she wasn't too happy to see me checking in on the birdies-to-be. But in some ways, I am their landlord - so I have every right to visit my tenants.
Today I was forced to evict my "friends" out of the fort. We are having lots of children over the house for my son's 1st Communion. I thought that the nest would not survive the horsing around from the wolf pack of boys. So with gloves on and the help of my friend Heather, we moved the nest to a neighboring spruce tree.
I hope all goes well with the move....

We have a guest!
My son made a discovery in his playhouse last week:

Apparently, this is not the first time, he has found a bird's nest in his fort. My son and his father have been at "war" with birds in our yard (we have a plethora of them!) The first time, about 3 weeks ago, my son found a nest in his fort and he threw it out on the ground (don't worry there were no eggs in it). The next day, it was back in the same spot - so my son removed it. The next day it was back! How did it get there? It was a mystery.
So Billy and his dad kept going back and forth with the "game" until one day, they witnessed the birds actually pick up their nest and fly back to the fort. (Determined little birds, huh?)
This is what I found in the nest recently.

I have issued a cease-fire to both parties.

Recent invitation project
Today my son is sick (he has a temp and a nasty cough.) So I chose to keep him home from school. That leaves me to to either:
A. Watch Sponge Bob Square Pant and Star Wars Clone Wars - over and over and over.
or
B. Blog
Since I have already done A, here I am. Check out what came in the mail a week ago. (Yeah I know - I should posted this earlier!)

My order from Vistaprint!

I love, love, L-O-V-E Vistaprint. As a designer, they make it so easy for me to upload my original artwork and then they handle the printing. The quality is amazing! The prices are even better!
These are invitations that I created for my son's 1st Communion in May. I blurred out some info - sorry guys, I can't invite EVERYONE! (But I will take pictures.)

I need your help!
Sorry for the lack of blogging. This girl has been busy. There has been lots going on and perhaps I will discuss my adventures in a later post.
The other day, I entered a contest on Shutterfly.com. Please vote and comment on my picture of my Boston Terrier, Yoda! I am trying to win a trip to Hawaii! So far, I am the top 300.
Please help and pass along to your friends, family and anyone else who will listen!
