8 Super Questions Answered by Moi!

So my lovely (and favorite cousin - shhhh...don't tell) tagged me in 8 questions that I MUST answer. So off we go!

1. Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Duh....Team Edward! Hands down.

2. Who's your hero?
I have a few:
• Those who have fought overseas for our freedom. I have had several cousins serve in the armed forces and I am so proud of them.
• Also, anyone, such as my aunt, who had to face cancer or any life threatening disease and keep a brave face. You have all my respect.
• My Boston Terrier, Yoda, for if it were not for him, I would have lost a few toes to a ground hog recently. Thanks for being my watch dog!

3. If you could be an animal, what would it be?
Ok I have two senarios:
A. Real animal: A Dolphin. It would be pretty cool to swim in the warms waves of the Caribbean.
B. Fake Animal: I would like to try being a mermaid. Like Arial. It would be fun. I'd be a half human/half princess fish.

4. What TV show's season premier are you most looking forward to?
I have a few:
How I Met Your Mother
Big Bang Theory
Biggest Loser
Glee. Yup. I caved.

5. What's your favorite book of all time?
Pride & Prejudice
But I also adore the Shopaholic series.

6. If you had to give up a sense (sight, hearing, taste, etc), what would it be?
Taste!!! I am an artist, I need color! And I love music and would be lost without it!

7. What's your favorite holiday?
I love 4th of July because it is summer and the fireworks. But I am also a sucker for Halloween and Christmas. And VERY importantly, my birthday ;) JK

8. What's your dream job?
I love what I do now. I am an editor for a small newspaper. I get to use most of my graphic design skills at my job. (PS - I promise to try making this blog look more hip.)
But if I were to get any position I wanted. It would be an art director for a major fashion magazine. That way, I'd get lots of free makeup and clothes.
I would also settle for a lottery winner and sit on the beach all day :)

A little birdie told me....

As promised, here is a photo of the bird my son found in the house last week:


He was a tiny bird, a Finch I think.... So here's the scoop.

I was getting ready for work on Friday morning. I'd just gotten out of the shower when:

My son: "Mom, there's a bird in the house."
Me: "Oh, that's nice!"
My son: "No really, mom. There's a bird in the house."
I happen to glance over in his line of sight and by golly, there REALLY is a bird in the house!
I have no clue how that happened. But I knew I had to act fast. I had a crazy dog trying to eat it and a screaming child telling the dog not to do it!
I opened up the window, trying to coax it out. Instead the poor bird crawled between the window panes and got stuck. Crap. So gently, I had to pull it out, without squishing it. Not an easy task mind you!
Finally, the bird was free of the window pane. And then he proceeded to fly off and hide.
Great...
I was never going to get to work at this rate.
Finally, the bird reappears and I grab a towel to try to catch it. It takes two trys, but I finally catch him. He's looks so scared at this point that I hope that he is not hurt. So I hold him out the open window, he hesitates and flys off.
It was an exciting morning. But I hope that it does not happen again!

OK. I haven't blogged in almost a month. It has been a super busy summer! Between the bird that I found in my house this morning to days lazing around the beach, it has been an interesting summer! (Don't worry, I took a picture of the bird. I will post it later.)

What is your signature color?
Red...and Blue. I cannot decide! I even really like Pink! :)

What is your most embarrasing moment?
During one of my drunk escapades (when I was much younger) I was dancing at a club/bar that I frequented with my girlfriends. I was wearing a cute red tube top (you must know where I am going with this...) So, as I am dancing, I happen to glance down and notice that my "girls" were out on display! Oppsie! No harm done though, I brushed it off because everyone else there was hammered and wouldn't remember it! :)

Would you ever get anything pierced other than your ears. If so, what?
Maybe the belly (re-pierced)

Are you a social butterfly or a homebody?
I love to talk and flut around when I am out with my friends. But unfortunately, now that I am mom, I do not go out much. But I always enjoy a nice night in!

Are you done having babies or do you want more?
I would like one more baby perhaps in a year or two :)

Are you loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every salon in town?
I am pretty happy with my stylist now. She comes to my house and does my color and cut for a very reasonable/affordable price!

How many times have you moved in your life?
Three

If you could plan your vacation with just you and your love where would it be?

Oh! This is so easy! And for those who know me, it would be Aruba!

Ok! So this one is supposed to be sent to 15 people!?! Ha ha. I need friends on this blog! I shall do my best! Here are 7 things about myself!

1. I am a mom to an almost 7 year old.
2. I love to shop and identify with Becky Bloomwood of Confessions of a Shopaholic. But I am not as crazy as her! You need money for that. Ha ha!
3. I sing in the car all the time.
4. Would love to get into painting and drawing more.
5. I am addicted to Zumba and Yoga.
6. I am an excellent bird catcher!
7. I am really a princess. I am just undercover.
